Hazel & Ted's family wedding
Updated: Oct 16, 2019
We love an intimate wedding here at The Old Parish Rooms (you might have noticed, it's kind of our thing), and we always appreciate our couples' desire to spend their wedding day with the people who are most important to them; their focus on making sure their guests enjoy the day.
Well, Hazel & Ted did that to the max.

This lovely couple didn't want their loved ones to feel pressure to buy them gifts, or to get new outfits, or to make a fuss of them in the build up to their wedding. So, they surprised them.
Ted & Hazel had a small ceremony at The Old Parish Rooms one Thursday - they kept the guest list very small but were sure to invite everyone's kids - so that their children would have a fun day and their guests weren't having to worry about childcare.
The ceremony was in the afternoon and everyone went on to a dinner afterwards, to celebrate.
Then, the next day, they were back with us for a big party and, when their guests arrived, Hazel & Ted announced that they were married. Surprise!
The day itself was perfect - personal, intimate and beautiful. After the ceremony the couple and their two children walked over to The Rayleigh Mount, a National Trust conservation area just around the corner from us, for photos.
What a wedding!
We loved having Hazel, Ted and their family & friends at The Old Parish Rooms and felt really lucky to be a part of their wedding.
With love, TOPR x
